Our Story Through the Years
From a two-man operation in 1965 to a diversified field service company supporting demanding operations today, our growth has been built on hard work, experience, and steady expansion.
1965
West Brothers Begins
Burdett and Loyd West founded the company in Millport, Pennsylvania, providing well maintenance services to local producers with just two brothers as the only employees.
1965
Expansion Into Transportation
The purchase of a small trucking firm expanded operations into contract transportation, laying the groundwork for what would become a major part of GFS capabilities.
1977–1979
Growth and the GFS Name
West Brothers Construction incorporated, expanded operations into New York, and officially became Gas Field Specialists, Inc. in 1979.
1984
GFS Energy Established
The company expanded further through GFS Energy, growing into well management, production operations, and ownership of producing wells.
